Philosophy

The work speaks. Not us.

The Cooperative

Sulkta Coop is a decentralized cooperative running on Cardano. No corporate structure. No board of directors in suits. Just a treasury, a token, and a set of principles encoded in smart contracts. TRP is governance. If you hold it, you vote. If you stake it, you have a voice in where the treasury goes. That's it. No VCs decided this. No permission was required.

Self-Hosted Everything

Our node syncs the chain. Our comms run on our servers. Our infrastructure answers to us—not to some cloud provider's terms of service that can change tomorrow. Cryptographic identity over corporate identity. On-chain truth over paper promises. When the web services shut down, the blockchain keeps running. When the APIs deprecate, the protocol remains.

The Tortoise

Patient. Deliberate. Long-lived. The TORT staking pool never minted a block. The node runs anyway. That's the point. We're not optimizing for this quarter's metrics or next week's pump. We're building infrastructure that outlasts us. We build what lasts. Slowly. Correctly.

Why Cardano

Proof of stake, not proof of waste. UTXO model, not account-based chaos. Formal methods, not 'move fast and break things.' Ouroboros consensus, peer-reviewed and mathematically proven. Cardano is not a chain we use. It's a chain we believe in. The eUTXO model forces you to think correctly about state. The research-first approach means fewer catastrophic bugs. The community builds tools for the long haul.

Off-Grid Values

Centralized services are single points of failure and single points of control. Every dependency on a third party is a dependency on their continued goodwill, solvency, and alignment with your values. We minimize those dependencies. Self-custody. Self-hosting. Self-sovereignty. Not because it's easy—it's not—but because the alternative is giving up control to people who don't share your interests.

Ghost Mode

No names on the site. No team page with headshots and LinkedIn links. No 'About Us' section listing credentials and past exits. The code is on-chain. The governance is transparent. The work is auditable. That's what matters. The rest is noise. Judge the work. Not the people.
