Projects

What the coop is working on. Some live. Some building. Some waiting their turn.

We don't ship fast. We ship carefully. Each project here has its own pace, its own reasons, its own roadmap. A paused project is not a dead one. It is waiting for the right hands and the right week.

Sulkta Coop DAO

On-chain governance. Treasury held by the coop.

Live

The cooperative itself. Stake TRP, vote on proposals, shape the direction of the treasury. No founders with veto power. No board seats. Just holders and on-chain decisions.

Roadmap

  • First proposal cycle
  • Treasury diversification
  • Community onboarding guide
  • Delegate system for passive holders

TradeCraft

Business software for trade shops. Owned by the shop.

Live

A platform for plumbing shops — lead intake, quotes, jobs, invoicing, team chat, and Wade, an AI assistant that knows the codebooks. Started inside the coop for a single trade partner; now runs as a small SaaS. No data lock-in, no vendor you don’t know owning your customer list.

WattWatch

Watch the power grid in real time. Open data, no account.

Live

A public window into where electricity actually comes from. Live fuel mix for the US grid, a map of power plants across the US and the world, and decades of generation history by source and by country — all built on open, public-domain and openly-licensed energy data. No login, no tracking, no agenda. Just the numbers, kept honest.

tny

A URL shortener that doesn’t spy on the clicks.

Live

Short links without the surveillance. Most shorteners exist to harvest click data and resell it — this one just makes long URLs short and gets out of the way. Fast, self-hosted, and nothing third-party riding along on the redirect.

None on the redirect

Roadmap

  • Custom slugs and link expiry
  • Self-serve links for members
  • QR codes for short links

Straw

YouTube, without the ads, the tracking, or the account.

Live

A clean front-end for watching YouTube on Android — no ads, no Google account, no telemetry trailing you around. SponsorBlock skips the sponsor reads, background and pop-out playback come standard, and you can download what you want to keep. It reads public video data directly, so there is no middleman selling your watch history back to you.

  • Wallet primitives and signing flows
  • First-party Element X fork
  • Invite-only pilot group

  • Small pilot program with willing owners

Sulkta Hacker Compound

Forty acres of high desert and the wood bones of a house.

Open-Ended

The long game, made literal. Forty acres of open high desert with the wood skeleton of a house already framed on it — the start of a Sulkta compound: somewhere off-grid to build, gather, and actually live the things the rest of this site only describes. It is the most honest kind of work-in-progress. The framing went up, then life got loud, and the desert has been patient with it ever since. No rush — it earns its purpose the way everything here does. When its season comes, we close in the shell, put power and water to it, and the someday becomes a place.

Location
Mojave Desert · Kern County, CA
Size
40 acres · open desert
On site
A framed house · wood shell

Roadmap

  • Close in the shell — roof, walls, weather
  • Off-grid power and water
  • A space to build and gather, on the land
  • Let it become a real Sulkta compound — in its own season
“We build what lasts. Slowly. Correctly.”
